SALIK: WHAT IS IT AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

Salik is Dubai’s computerized toll gate system. The Highways and Transport Authority (RTA) established it on July 1, 2007, to help ease traffic flow on Dubai’s key roads.

HOW TO BUY SALIK TAG ONLINE?

It’s simple to order a new Salik Dubai Tag from the comfort of your own home. The entire procedure is now paperless and takes only a few minutes.

New Salik tags can be ordered, registered, and activated via the Salik website or the Smart Salik App.

After obtaining a Salik tag from an authorized dealer or the Salik website, you’ll need to provide the following information:

  • Number of Salik Tags

The two Al Mamzar toll gates on Al Ittihad Street are the only exception. You will only be charged once if you travel through both of these in the same direction within one hour (AED 4).

The following is a breakdown of the Dubai Salik Fees for 2021:

A new Salik Tag costs AED 100 and may be purchased at petrol stations.

Salik Tag costs AED 120 when purchased online.

If you order it online, you’ll have to pay an extra AED 20 for delivery.

Your account has a prepaid toll balance of AED 50.

HOW TO PAY THE TOLLGATE SALIK FEES?

You must register with Salik and place the Salik Tag on the front windshield of your car in order to pay the Dubai Salik toll gate fees. At these computerized gates, the Salik Tag will be scanned to deduct the toll fee.
